This is Kyle Rittenhouse ( The Kenosha Shooter) right before he decided to defend his life and started throwing lead down range.  The gentleman heading for him with a skateboard had already used it as a weapon on others.

Remember….this is a 17 year old kid getting beat down by adults.  Like my dad always said….no man with gun is going to take an ass whoopin.

The most important thing to know about Kyle Rittenhouse is that he did not shoot a single innocent bystander.

The ONLY people who he shot were people who were actively, at that moment, trying to harm him (or disarm him and presumably turn his gun on him).

If he had been a mass shooter or a vigilante, he had AMPLE opportunity to inflict mass casualties or go after those who were actively destroying businesses. He did not do so.

Look at this picture and tell me that you would have the discipline and marksmanship to ONLY hit the people attacking you and not accidentally hit someone else standing nearby.

Watch the video and see where he almost shoots another guy who comes after him, then stops and lowers his weapon when the guy backs away. That is restraint and discipline.

The ONLY criticism anyone can make of Kyle is that he didn’t have to be there. He could have gone home.

But when you look at it in context, that’s not really a criticism.

Yeah, he could have stayed home that night. Most people did. Nobody would have thought less of him.

But he watched the footage from the previous night, saw businesses burning, and said “I need to help.” And for him, helping meant showing up to clean up graffiti and bringing his med kit.

Kyle worked in Kenosha as a lifeguard, meaning he had basic first aid and CPR training. He brought a med kit with him, and throughout the footage from that night he can be seen asking people if they need medical help. Asking rioters if they need medical help.

When rioters lit a dumpster on fire and pushed it toward a gas station, he didn’t shoot them. He ran over with a fire extinguisher. He was there to help and heal, not to kill.

But he also wasn’t dumb. He knew the danger, and he knew that he would be entirely on his own if something went wrong. So, having spent plenty of time on the range, he asked his friend to bring him a gun.

Even still, Kyle never wanted to use it. He doesn’t walk around pointing it at people. He doesn’t threaten anyone. When the guy who would later attack him was yelling “shoot me [n-word]” repeatedly, he didn’t escalate.

It was only when he was being chased and attacked by that same guy, who was carrying a chain and yelling obscenities, and even then only after he heard other gunshots and couldn’t be sure who was shooting, did he even aim his gun at anyone. It was only when he had no choice that he fired.

And he ONLY hit the people who were actively attacking him. Oh, and he was SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD. How many teenagers have the kind of courage and discipline that Kyle had that night? It probably rounds to zero.

We need more people like Kyle Rittenhouse.

@geeztumbr61

- Please explain what a non-assault weapon would be.

- The gun he had was legal. He did not carry it across state lines, and Wisconsin law allowed him to carry it. Also every gun law is an infringement, so jot that down.

- He lived in Illinois and worked as a lifeguard 20 min away in Wisconsin. It’s like asking why someone from El Paso, TX was in Las Cruces, NM, or why someone from Brunswick, MD was in Harpers Ferry, WV. Also his dad was in Wisconsin. Kenosha was his community even if he didn’t live there.

Kyle has my absolute respect for stepping up to help his community when it was hurting, and for managing to defend himself without hurting any innocent people.

@prolifeproliberty this is not the right explanation. The right one would go like this: he had a weapon to protect his life.

The right question is, why do 17 year old kids need a gun to protect themselves? Why and by whom was the mob allowed to vandalise that city and threaten lives?

Because Orange Man Bad.

Don’t use a gas oven to heat your home or run your car in the garage

Carbon monoxide kills you so quick. Please all do not do this.

Drip both hot and cold on all faucets + open the cupboards that house the pipes because if you don’t your pipes will burst and you’ll have massive flooding.

I’m bringing this around again because it’s getting cold in some places and I’ve been getting things to prepare for if we get another freeze in a few months. Since then, the official death toll of the freeze sits at 210, while Buzzfeed reported in May that the true count is likely much higher— around 700. It also caused one of the worst mass carbon monoxide poisonings in recent US history.

I have very little faith that Governor Abbott has done “all that needs to be done” to protect the grid and it’s weighing on me as we get closer to winter.
